    What is refrigerant pressure gauge?

A refrigerant pressure gauge is also known as HVAC pressure gauge, it is an important tool by HVAC technicians and refrigerant workers to measure and monitor various parameters of a refrigeration or air conditioning system.

A refrigeration pressure gauge is used to display pressure and temperature when measuring Freon R22, R507, R404A, R134A, R407C refrigeration.

Here’s how a refrigerant pressure gauge works?

Refrigerant Pressure Gauges: The refrigerant gauge set typically includes two refrigerant pressure gauges – a high-refrigerant pressure gauge and a low-refrigerant pressure gauge. These gauges display the pressure levels of the refrigerant within the system. The pressure is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) or sometimes in bar , Kg/cm2, MPA units.

High-Refrigerant Pressure Gauge: This gauge measures the high side pressure of the refrigeration system, which is the pressure of the refrigerant as it exits the compressor and moves toward the condenser. usually the dial plate style is red.

Low-Pressure Gauge: This gauge measures the low side pressure of the system, which is the pressure of the refrigerant as it enters the evaporator after passing through the expansion valve. Usually the dial plate style is blue.
